# Account created

> Fired when an account is created in your workspace.

This event is fired when an account is created, whether through the API, a CRM sync, or automatically from a customer's email domain. An account is the new name for a [tenant](/docs/product/platform/tenants): the company or organization your customers belong to.

The `source` field says where the account came from: `api`, `salesforce`, `hubspot`, `attio`, or `email_domain`.

This event was added in webhook version [`2026-10-06`](/docs/webhooks/versions). Targets on earlier versions don't receive it.
