# Thread account updated

> Fired when the account a thread belongs to is changed, added or removed.

> [!NOTE]
>
> This event still uses the old name for accounts. Its type is `thread.thread_tenant_updated`, and the payload carries the account under `tenant` and `previousTenant`.

This event is fired when the account a thread belongs to changes. Both the previous and the new account are included, and either can be null.
