Help Center AI - Citations & Improved Search

The Help Center AI now shows its work, by including inline citations of which articles were used to answer a question, helping users both better understand where an answer came from, and enable further reading on a topic.

Alongside this, a number of other improvements were shipped:

  • We're made a UX shift to "Search then Ask" to enable users to first search for articles, and then ask a question if none were found

  • The underlying search implementation for finding articles has been rewritten, improving quality for both retrieving relevant articles and answering questions

  • Updated which models we use under-the-hood and prompting to improve Help Center AI answer quality and format
