Merge threads

You can now merge related threads in Plain into a single view.

When a customer contacts you about the same issue across multiple channels, merge those threads so your team only has to track one conversation. The parent thread stays active, while the child thread is ignored and any new child-thread messages appear in the parent’s timeline.

You can reply to merged messages directly from the parent thread, and Plain sends the response through the child thread’s original channel.

To merge, open a thread and choose Merge thread from the overflow menu or command palette, then select the parent and child threads. You can also unmerge threads later. Full details in our help center.
