Machine users can now link Linear issues

API keys can now call createThreadLink — so your automations can attach a Linear issue to a Plain thread, not just create one.

Before this, createThreadLink was human-only. That meant any workflow that automatically filed a bug in Linear hit a wall: the issue existed, the thread existed, but connecting them required a human to go into the UI and link them manually. The automation was half-finished by design.

Now the full loop works without intervention. Your backend creates the Linear issue, links it to the thread, and from that point Plain takes over — Close the Loop fires when the issue is resolved, the thread surfaces at the right moment, and nothing gets lost between your bug tracker and your support queue.
