Message translation automatically detects non-English messages in the timeline and translates them to English, without leaving Plain or sending content to any external service. Where to enable it: Settings → Preferences → Translation → toggle on Enable message translation
  • When a message in a supported language is detected, a Translate button appears inline
  • Click it to see the English translation alongside the original.
  • Click Hide translation to go back to the original.
Supported languages: Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Vietnamese.
